Baltimore County Police Assistance & Relief Fund

The PAR Fund is a non-profit Maryland Corporation. Funding is provided entirely by contributions from the private sector, including local businesses and community donations. An endowment has been established to promote growth and security of these funds.

This, in addition to fundraising activities, allows us to continue to aid the police community year after year. The goal is to ensure that no qualified grant be turned away due to lack of funding.

How the Grants Work

Officers in need submit a request through the department’s administrative staff. These individuals are a liaison between the officer and the Board: They maintain the requestor's anonymity at all times.

After the grant is reviewed to ensure it meets specific guidelines, the Board deliberates until a resolution can be found. Due to the urgency of each situation, the process is quick and efficient, and the officer in need is kept apprised of each step.
